What are Zen Briefs?

  • A video newsletter

Zen Briefs (“Les Brèves Zen” in French) is a WhatsApp video newsletter featuring short reflections on Zen and meditation.

By subscribing, you’ll receive each new Brief directly in your inbox as a video link.

Originally created in French, Zen Briefs is now also accessible to English-speaking audiences through English subtitles!

The rhythm of the newsletter is intentionally light and non-invasive.  Each Brief offers a simple teaching inspired by Zen Buddhism — a practical insight or perspective that you can bring into everyday life.

A little wisdom, a little peace... and completely free!

  • A community

The DO NOTHING / NE RIEN FAIRE community gathers regularly online for various events centered around meditation and Zen practice (one-click access — no videoconferencing software required). These gatherings most often take the form of talks offered by experienced practitioners, followed by time for questions and discussion.  Depending on the event, gatherings may take place in French, or in English when connected with the international community of the Kwan Um School of Zen, including talks and retreats.

By subscribing to Zen Briefs, you will be informed of upcoming community events and gatherings.

  • Personalized support

Sometimes, you may feel the need for support with a particular difficulty or situation you are going through… but without necessarily having the energy or desire to commit to traditional coaching with scheduled appointments, regular sessions, and long face-to-face conversations.

A Zen Briefs subscription includes the feature “A Brief for You”: you share with me, by message or voice note, a situation, an emotion, or a question… and I send you a short personalized message created in response to what you are experiencing.

It is a gentle, calming form of support, with no commitment and no video calls, especially well suited for introverted people, or for those who prefer to receive quietly rather than engage in live conversation.
